Early career stage workshops at #BOU2021

We’re making the 29 March our Early Careers Day! Just as at our in-person annual meetings, early career researcher workshops will comprise three parallel 1-hr workshops during the afternoon (c.1300 UTC onwards). We also intend to run our usual ECR evening social event in the evening.

Early Career Researcher (ECR) workshops

1245 – 1630 UTC

ECRs registering for the conference will automatically be sent details of our Early Careers Day (ensure you book through the ECR registration). Once you have received details please ensure you book your workshop place via the BOU Officer (details on email you are sent).

Following a welcome address from BOU President, Juliet Vickery, we’ll run three parallel workshops at 1300 – 1400, 1415 – 1515 and 1530 – 1630 (all times UTC).

Early Careers social

1800 – 1930 UTC | All those taking part in the day’s workshops are welcome!

Bring your own bottle! as we attempt to replicate our usual in-person conference evening social with small groups of early career folk partnered with a more experienced ornithologists to talk about all the things that came up in the workshops during the day. The experienced ornithologists will be rotated around the different groups.
