Olivia Hicks is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre d’Etudes Biologique de Chizé, CNRS, France. Her research aims to use an energetic framework to gain a mechanistic understanding of drivers of individual fitness in wild populations. She completed her PhD at the University of Liverpool where she studied the multiple energetic costs of parasitism to European Shags. She has recently switched to another marine predator the Adélie Penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae).
