Graeme Buchanan works for the International research team within RSPB Centre for Conservation Science. He works on a broad range of topics from single species conservation (Dwarf Olive Ibis, Bostrychia bocagei, in Sao Tome), through to global analysis utilising remote sensing and other sources of spatial data for conservation monitoring and priority setting. Much of this work is done in collaboration with BirdLife International. He spends a lot of his spare time in the Scottish uplands, whether birding, walking or on his bike, and is a member of the BOU Council.
