Ingrid L. Pollet received a technical diploma in agronomy in 1996 from Université Claude Bernard, France. She subsequently immigrated to Canada where she worked in medical research for several years, but eventually found her passion in several bird studies before focusing her interest on seabirds. She did her PhD at Acadia and Dalhousie Universities, looking at the extrinsic factors influencing movement and reproductive success of the Leach’s Storm-Petrel. She recently finished a post-doc research on the movement of Long-tailed ducks at Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. She is currently without a paid position but keeps busy in many ways.
