Jessica Shaw is a conservation biologist, and has been involved with research on the impacts of energy infrastructure on populations of large terrestrial birds for the past 10 years. Much of her research has focused on power-line collisions of Blue Cranes and Ludwig’s Bustard in South Africa, the latter being the subject of her PhD at the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, University of Cape Town. Jessica currently works as an ornithology advisor for Scottish Natural Heritage in the UK.
