Alan Tennyson is a vertebrate curator at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington, New Zealand. He specialises in bird conservation and palaeontology and is the author of ‘Extinct Birds of New Zealand’ published by Te Papa Press in 2006.
