Ashutosh Singh is currently working as Research Associate at Zoological Survey of India under National Mission on Himalayan Studies. His doctoral work was focused on identifying genetic and vocalization differentiation in Himalayan flycatchers commonly distributed in eastern and western Himalaya. He worked with Wildlife Institute of India in various roles in different projects. His previous work in the Himalayas and the Western Ghats were focused on studying avian assemblage, distribution, phylogenetics, and vocalization. Presently he is working on conservation and long-term monitoring of threatened vertebrates in the Indian Himalayan Region.
