Daisy Burnell is the project coordinator for Britain and Ireland’s 4th breeding seabird census, Seabirds Count. During her MSc, at the University of Aberdeen, she undertook research on the foraging behaviour of Fulmars during the breeding season, specifically in relation to proposed marine renewable sites. Throughout this research she was amazed by the complexity of the pressures seabirds are facing, and was thus inspired to pursue a career in their conservation.
