Debra Williams is a proofreader who specialises in academic research, often written by non-native English speakers, on a variety of topics. Her business, Words and Deeds, also offers writing services, including magazine articles, music reviews, press releases, etc. She is a novice birder and has a strong interest in research around this vast area, being especially keen on gulls. Living by the River Mersey, she is lucky to have a Herring Gull who visits most days for food (Tappy – pictured right). Debra has cultivated an allotment for over 10 years, and enjoys spending some mindful time there watching and listening to the birds.
