Hannah Watson started her career working in conservation policy with the RSPB, before moving into academic research. She completed her PhD at the University of Glasgow, during which she studied ecophysiology of European Storm Petrels. Since 2013, she has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Lund University (Sweden). Hannah’s research concerns how birds cope with and respond to environmental stress, particularly that experienced during early life. Much of her current research concerns the effects of urbanisation on wild birds and is funded by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship under the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
