Manel Puigcerver is a Senior Lecturer of the University of Barcelona. He graduated with a Biological Sciences degree and completed his PhD at the same University. He has been carrying out his research on the behaviour, ecology, evolutionary biology and conservation of the Common Quail Coturnix coturnix since 1983. Manel’s research concerns especially in the problems derived from restocking with hybrid quails for hunting purposes. Moreover, he has conducted research in the biology didactics field. Since 2015 he is the Secretary General of the International Union of Game Biologists.
