Contrasting flapping counterparts, wing shape and migratory habits are unrelated in soaring birds

Maricel Graña Grilli is a researcher for CONICET (National Council for Science and Technology) in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. She carried out her PhD on movements and feeding ecology of Brown Skuas, Catharacta antarctica, during their breeding period at King George Island, Antarctica. Since 2015 she is working on different variables influencing the migration of Turkey Vultures, their interaction with people and the problems related with poisoning.
