Mark Wilson currently works as a research ecologist for the British Trust for Ornithology, based in Stirling in Scotland. He is responsible for much of BTO’s research work on raptors, as well as more general work on Scottish bird populations and ecological interactions. At the time that this research on Irish Hen Harriers was undertaken he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at University College Cork in Ireland, where his research focused mainly on ornithology and forest biodiversity. Mark still collaborates with ornithological research projects at University College Cork.
