Mohamed Amezian studied marsh-dwelling passerines for his PhD, but more recently is focused on the study of raptors: their migration across the Strait of Gibraltar, as well as their breeding distribution, ecology and conservation. His work on birds of prey is developed almost always in collaboration with his friend Rachid El Khamlichi.
