Robbie Whytock is currently a third year PhD student at the University of Stirling. His PhD research investigates how local, patch characteristics and landscape-scale habitat patterns shape bird communities in post-agricultural woodlands as part of the Woodland Creation and Ecological Networks research project. Robbie has a broad spectrum of interests in ornithology and conservation, ranging from ecological modelling, developing bioacoustic technology and conservation of threatened birds in the UK and in Central Africa.
