Simon Griffith is a Professor of Evolutionary Ecology at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. He obtained his PhD at the University of Leicester, UK, and after spending the first nine years of his career working in Europe, he moved to Australia, where he has used Gouldian, Long-tailed and Zebra finches to understand speciation processes and the way that Australia’s unique ecology and challenging climate has shaped avian behaviour and evolution.
