Malcolm Burgess

Malcolm Burgess is a Conservation Scientist at the RSPB Centre for Conservation Science and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Exeter. He has been interested in woodland birds since childhood and after a PhD on a tropical woodland bird, the Mauritius kestrel, set up and now runs PiedFly.Net (www.piedfly.net) a citizen science project that monitors Pied flycatchers across southwest England. This tracking work is a PiedFly.Net project in partnership with the BTO, and is funded by Devon Birds, Natural England and the BOU (view BOU project report).
