John Mallord

John Mallord has worked for the RSPB Centre for Conservation Science on and off since the mid-1990s. In between, his PhD investigated the impacts of recreational disturbance on Woodlark populations on English heathlands. At RSPB, he has worked on a range of declining species, both at home and abroad. From 2013 he led their research into Afro-Palaearctic migrants on the wintering grounds in West Africa. Since 2018, John has provided scientific support to the RSPB’s Vulture Programme, working closely with in-country partners in South and South-east Asia.
