Ashish worked on the Yellow-throated Bulbul for his PhD at CSIR-CCMB Hyderabad, India. He studied its phylogeny, population genetics, climatic niche and natural history. Post PhD, Ashish joined Kerala Bird Atlas project and handled data analysis and scientific publications. He will soon join a new project on stable-isotope analysis from avian tissues at IISER Mohali (India). His long-term research goals are population monitoring, on-ground conservation, and natural history of birds.
