Cas Eikenaar is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Avian Research, Germany. The key goal in his various research projects has been and is to understand the causes and consequences of the variation in animal behavior and physiology that exists among individuals, populations and species. Currently his research mainly focuses on the role that hormones have in regulating refueling and departure from stopover, and on how environmental factors shape the temporal organization of migration.
