Jennifer’s research involves integrating data from diverse sources (palaeontology, zooarchaeology, history, ecology) to understand biodiversity change and extinction over recent prehistory to the modern day. Her PhD at the Zoological Society of London and postdoc at the Natural History Museum analysed dynamics of Eurasian megafaunal extinctions in relation to anthropogenic and environmental change. She is particularly interested in using insights from such archival data to inform conservation, including debates over reintroductions and rewilding, and has undertaken freelance research for Rewilding Europe and WWF International.
