Malcie has worked for Scottish Natural Heritage, Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food, University of Glasgow and the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group amongst others. He has worked in Fetlar, Shetland for the RSPB since 1998 as a Reserve warden and now Species and Habitats Officer.
