Nao Ota is a behavioral biologist and ornithologist who currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology in Germany. Ota’s main research interests are the evolution and functions of complex communication systems, especially studying the species cordon bleus, which are socially monogamous African songbirds.
