Valentina Ferretti is a researcher at CONICET (National Council for Research in Science and Technology) in Argentina. Her research centers on understanding evolutionary diversification of life-history strategies in birds. She is interested in life-history variation across levels of organization that bridge different temporal and spatial scales. The questions she asks explore the interface between ecology, behavior, morphology and evolution of mating systems and breeding biology. Dr. Ferretti uses molecular tools combined with field observations and manipulative experiments to investigate the effects of ecological variables on reproductive traits within and across species.
