Alejandro Gutiérrez Galán is a PhD candidate in the Laboratory of Zoology and Entomology of the Forest Engineers School (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid). His research is focused on the relations between farmland bird communities and forest uses. He is currently finishing his PhD on Turtle Dove breeding habitat in Mediterranean forest areas of Southern Spain. In addition, he has conducted researches about seed dispersal, feeding ecology and sampling methods of several avian species
