Barry is an Associate Professor of Wildlife Conservation & Zoonotic Epidemiology within the UCD School of Agriculture & Food, Dublin, Ireland. His research explores the interaction between agriculture and biodiversity, principally birds. In addition, he is interested in infectious disease, including zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance, that are reservoired in or disseminated by wild birds and mammals. Many of his research questions activities are set in a complex context of conflict between multiple stakeholders. In order to deal with these complex context’s he adopts the One Health approach to seek solutions.
