Cecilia Nilsson is a post-doctoral fellow at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, mainly interested in flight behaviour and animal migration. She did her PhD at Lund University, studying flight speed and drift behaviour and testing hypotheses about the costs and constraints that shape animal migration. Currently she is working with weather radar networks in Europe and the US to investigate large scale patterns of flight behaviour and continental wide bird movements.
