Colby Behrens is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). His dissertation focuses on genetic and physiological mechanisms influencing parental care in the Three-spined Stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus). Before moving to UIUC, he earned his B.S. degree from Iowa State University where he studied both paper wasp and marsh bird behavior.
