Dr. Frank Fogarty is a lecturer and research associate in the Department of Wildlife at Humboldt State University, where he teaches courses on ornithology and conservation and management of passerines. His doctoral work focused on the use of point count data to answer questions about the ecology of breeding birds in the Great Basin Desert of California and Nevada, USA. His research interests include the responses of bird communities to stressors such as habitat fragmentation, wildfire, cattle grazing, and climate change, as well as the development of new community modeling tools.
