Manuel B. Morales is Professor at the Ecology Department of Autónoma University of Madrid (Madrid, Spain). His research is focused on animal habitat selection and ecological niche partitioning and their implication for species conservation. This research is carried out mainly on steppe and farmland birds, although he is also interested in other model organisms such as small mammals. Another important part of his research involves the impact of agricultural management on the structure and functioning of farmland biological communities.
