Mark is currently working in as a bird ecologist for Waardenburg Ecology in the Netherlands. After an MSc. in applied ecology and conservation at the University of East Anglia, he worked at the British Trust for Ornithology before moving to the Netherlands and Waardenburg Ecology. Much of Mark’s current work is based around assessing the impacts of offshore renewables, particularly on birds. Sandwich Terns have been a focal species over the last ten years and Mark works closely with his colleague, Ruben Fijn, on studies in the Netherlands and the UK.
