Nari Lee is a Master’s student in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana whose work focuses on gender equity within conservation in South Korea and Mongolia. Before graduate school, she was an active feminist campaigner in Daegu, South Korea, helping to lead the youth feminist collective ‘Bad Feminist’ and founding the environmental NGO ‘Zigudang’ (“the action to save the earth”). Her current research builds on hands-on conservation experience in Mongolia through afforestation and bird conservation initiatives. She is especially interested in how gendered experiences shape conservation practices across cultures and how social justice can be woven into environmental action.
