Oluwadunsin Adekola is a conservation biologist with a special focus and interest on birds. He is currently an academic and researcher at University Centre Sparsholt, Sparsholt College, Hampshire, UK. He combines over a decade of teaching, research and field experience across Nigeria, South Africa and the UK. Oluwadunsin’s research explores fascinating questions around avian moult strategies, impacts of climate change on birds, biodiversity monitoring using bioacoustics, invasive species, ecological modelling and citizen science. Before joining University Centre Sparsholt, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience, Coventry University. In December 2022, he graduated with a PhD in Biological Sciences (Conservation Biology) at the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, University of Cape Town, South Africa. He holds two Master’s degrees – one in Wildlife Ecology and Management (Distinction) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), and another in Conservation Biology from the AP Leventis Ornithological Research Institute (APLORI), University of Jos. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Ecotourism and Wildlife Management (First class honours) from FUTA.
