Rob Spencer is a behavioural ecologist interested in the behaviours of species that invade novel environments and what this can tell us about the types of biodiversity likely to survive the process of urbanisation. He is particularly interested in applying evolutionary game theory to wild populations of animals and using the methods of behavioural ecology to study conservation issues. He did his PhD (Middlesex University) on kleptoparasitism in urban gulls and is currently an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Middlesex University.
