Simon is an MSc graduate from the A.P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute (APLORI) in Nigeria. He also earned his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Zoology from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria. Simon worked with APLORI as an affiliate Research Assistant from 2021-2022 and is currently part of a team working on the conservation of the critically endangered plant species Dombeya ledermannii in Nigeria while also looking for a PhD opportunity. Broadly, he has interests in general ecology, specifically in the areas of 1) conservation ecology and 2) species ecology and response to human/natural induced environmental change.
