Ron Mumme recently completed his 30th year as a member of the faculty at Allegheny College, where he is Professor of Biology. Since 2010 his research has focused on the behavioural ecology of Hooded Warblers in northwest Pennsylvania, but previous ornithological research has taken him to the field in Costa Rica (Slate-throated Redstarts), Florida (Florida Scrub-Jays), and California (Acorn Woodpeckers). He is a Fellow of the American Ornithological Society.
