Will Harrod recently completed his 3rd year as an undergraduate student at Allegheny College, and will graduate in May 2021 with degrees in Biology and Environmental Science & Sustainability. He has studied the breeding biology of Hooded Warblers in northwestern Pennsylvania, focusing primarily on the interactions between moult and parental care. He is currently working on a senior thesis studying how forest fragmentation impacts the nesting success of songbirds.

Ron Mumme recently completed his 30th year as a member of the faculty at Allegheny College, where he is Professor of Biology. Since 2010 his research has focused on the behavioural ecology of Hooded Warblers in northwest Pennsylvania, but previous ornithological research has taken him to the field in Costa Rica (Slate-throated Redstarts), Florida (Florida Scrub-Jays), and California (Acorn Woodpeckers). He is a Fellow of the American Ornithological Society.
