Sissel is a researcher at Lund University, Sweden, and is interested in questions related to how behavioural adaptations could facilitate extreme travels by birds, and how these behaviours could be affected by environmental and physiological factors. To study such behaviours, she works with different types of tracking that make it possible to record movements and behaviour of birds, both at a site and throughout the full annual cycle. Sissel is currently supported by starting grants from the European Research Council (#101078349) and the Swedish Research Council (#2021-05564).
