Janusz Kloskowski is a researcher at the Institute of Zoology, Poznań University of Life Sciences, Poland. His general interests span ecological aspects of behavior, such as evolutionary conflicts between family members, to cross-ecosystem interactions. Currently his research mainly focuses on how behavioural decisions affect trophic interactions and community structure. He has been also involved in purely conservation projects like alleviation of wildlife-fisheries conflicts or wetland restoration.

Franziska Tanneberger is based at the Greifswald Mire Centre, Institute of Botany and Landscape Ecology, Greifswald University, Germany. She works on fen mire ecology, fen biodiversity, the climate relevance of peatlands, and peatland restoration, particularly within voluntary carbon schemes. She has contributed to various mire research and conservation projects in Germany, Russia, Belarus, and Poland.
