Tamas is a Professor of Biodiversity at the University of Bath, and an evolutionary biologist researching social behaviour. His research team investigates a broad range of social interactions that include sexual selection, breeding systems and sex allocation. One of his strengths is combining different tools and approaches to understand fundamental questions in behaviour, ecology and evolution: he works from genomes to individuals and populations. Also, he is a dedicated conservation biologist and founded an award-winning conservation NGO, the Maio Biodiversity Foundation, and served the NGO as President until recently.
