About the author

Natalia García

Natalia started working at the Ornithology Division of the Argentinian Museum of Natural Sciences as an undergrad, and then she obtained her Ph.D. studying song and plumage colour evolution in the “blue clade” of the Cardinalidae family. She did a postdoc at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (Ithaca, NY) and then went back to the museum, where she currently holds a position as a researcher for CONICET (Argentina’s National Research Council). She has always been, and still is, fascinated by the many interesting questions that can be answered by doing collection-based research.
