Pablo D. Lavinia is a researcher from CONICET working at the Ornithology Division of the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His research is in the field of evolutionary biology and his main goal is to study the processes behind the generation and maintenance of Neotropical biodiversity. Since his undergraduate thesis, Pablo has been mostly focused in avian diversification but he has more recently become involved in the study of butterflies, moths and ants too. Pablo aspires to being able to integrate the phylogeographic patterns of different taxonomic groups, in order to better understand the evolutionary history of Neotropical fauna.
