About the author
Wenyi is a PhD student at the University of Florida working with Dr. Scott Robinson. His dissertation assesses the conservation value of plantation forests to bird communities in southwestern China. Wenyi has worked with birds in multiple countries including Peru, USA, Canada, and China. He is certified by the North American Banding Council to train people how to ring birds. Being an avid birder, Wenyi is fascinated by not only the diversity but also the behavior of birds. For this research, Wenyi was also affiliated with the Florida Museum of Natural History.
