Anouk Spelt recently finished her PhD conducted in the Bio-Inspired Flight Lab at the University of Bristol in the UK. Her PhD research focus was on understanding the secret life of urban-nesting gulls by analysing their habitat use, foraging behaviour and flight energetics of Lesser Black-backed Gulls in Bristol, UK. Her wider research interests include urban ecology, seabird ecology, behavioural ecology, conservation and community science.
