Benjamin Freeman is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia. He studies the ecological and evolutionary processes that generate the distributional patterns we observe in modern biotas. His research uses tropical montane avifaunas as a model system to test theories of biodiversity and understand species’ responses to environmental change.
