Elina Mäntylä is a postdoctoral researcher at Institute of Entomology of the Biology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences at Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic. Earlier she studied and worked at University of Turku, Finland (PhD and postdoc) and at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany (postdoc). In all three institutes she has researched the trophic level interactions between birds, insects and plants, but with different sets of species, and in different climatic zones: subarctic, boreal, temperate and tropical.
