Fabricio C. Gorleri is currently doing a PhD in Salta, Argentina, on the ecology of migratory systems of South American birds, with the goal to uncover their spatiotemporal patterns and habitat associations using advanced modelling tools. Since 2016, he is also part of the science department of Aves Argentinas, having the role of leading the eBird project in his country. Additionally, Fabricio is collaborating with several ornithological projects, including the Argentine Ornithological Records Committee, and helping doing research into Cliff Swallows populations breeding in Argentina. His major personal motivation relies on how to make a better use of citizen science data to increase our understanding on the ecology of poorly-known Neotropical birds.
