María Antón-Tello is a biologist, currently working on her PhD unravelling the role of rice fields for the conservation of waterbirds in l’Albufera de València and approaching new proposals for the better design of agri-environmental measures. In addition, she works as a field technician at the Spanish Society of Ornithology “SEO/BirdLife” under the Rewilding Beaches for the Kentish Plover (Charadrius alexandrinus) Project, and as a social media manager at the Cavanilles Institute of Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Valencia, under the Ex-situ Conservation of the Eastern Iberian Common Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus witherbyi) Project.
