Leila has worked on farmland bird projects for the RSPB in the UK, and monitored breeding bird populations in New Zealand. During her PhD she investigated how nutritional conditions in early- and adult-life impacted Hihi (Notiomystis cincta) life-history traits. She lives in Denmark where she works as a freelance copyeditor, and in her free time enjoys exploring the Danish countryside. Leila is a member of the BOU’s Equality and Diversity Working Group and is the BOU’s incoming Chief Operations Officer.
