Joedison is an ecologist very excited to elucidate ecological patterns that structure ecosystem functioning and human well-being. He has just completed his PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the Universidade Federal de Goiás (Brazil), where researched communities of scavengers in the Brazilian Cerrado (grassland) and across the world. Birds are his passion, but he has a deep affection for all tropical biodiversity. His research interests are related to applied ecology, disease ecology, landscape ecology, functional ecology, ornithology, and ecosystem functions provided by biodiversity. Joedison is currently an independent researcher, acting as an academic consultant, data analyst, and environmental consultant in Brazil.
