Early career stage workshops at #BOU2022

We’re making the 11 April our Early Careers Day!

Note: you must be a BOU member attending our BOU2022 annual conference to register for these workshops and social.

You will be given details of how to register for these workshops when you register as a delegate for BOU2022.

Early career researcher workshops

1300 – 1630 UTC | All BOU ECR members welcome!

Just as at our in-person annual meetings, early career researcher workshops will comprise three parallel 1-hr workshops during the afternoon (c.1300 UTC onwards). We also intend to run our usual ECR evening social event in the evening.

ECRs registering for the conference will automatically be sent details of our ECR Day (ensure you book through the ECR registration). Once you have received details please ensure you book your workshop place via the BOU Officer (details on email you are sent).

Three parallel workshops running 1300 – 1400, 1415 – 1515 and 1530 – 1630 (all times UTC) aimed at Masters and PhD students,

Early professionals workshop

1400 – 1530 UTC | Open to all BOU members in final year of PhD or up to 10 years post your last degree.

It will not be possible to attend both the grant-writing workshop and the other workshops (above).

Early careers social

1800 – 1930 UTC | All BOU members up to 10 years post your last degree welcome!

Bring your own bottle! as we replicate our usual in-person conference evening social with small groups of early career folk partnered with a more experienced ornithologists to talk about all the things that came up in the workshops during the day. The experienced ornithologists will be rotated around the different groups.
